A new poll commissioned by the Marijuana Policy Project has found that a majority of everybody in America wants President Obama to leave the states alone if they have legalized medical marijuana. Almost fifteen out of twenty (74%) Americans surveyed agreed that President Obama should “respect the medical marijuana laws in these states” and only three in twenty (15%) believed the president should “use federal resources to arrest and prosecute individuals who are acting in compliance with state medical marijuana laws”.

When my conservative friends like to go on about (straight traditional Judeo-Christian) family values, I wonder if they know there are families separated because of a stupid prohibition on one herb? Nutmeg is highly hallucinogenic, nightshade will kill you, poison oak is obnoxious, but no, THAT one, cannabis, is God’s mistake and must be eradicated by armed police working overtime, and you must be caged if you use it!

Man, it’s bad enough you get into the Octagon with a guy who pummels your face and body and attempts to break your joints and tries to choke you into unconsciousness and you lose. But then some pencil pushers ban you from making a living for a year and take sixty-five grand out of your bank account because you picked an ADHD remedy that your home state approves of, but the federal government does not.
