Here are the official winners from the HIGH TIMES Medical Cannabis Cup in Seattle – September 14 – 16, 2012.
The HIGH TIMES Medical Cannabis Cup Awards featured a win by first-time entrant Cascadia Concentrates and Healing Space Gardens, for hash oil perfected by our own Ganja Jon.
All four panelists were well informed about the issue and passionate about their side. The crowd seemed to lean more toward the No on I-502 comments, something that seems surreal at a festival that enjoys a legalized type atmosphere and a community that has been using the word “legalize” like a battle cry, a greeting and a hashtag.
Once again, Alison Holcomb represented the legalization initiative she’s shepherded to the ballot and gotten 57% support for in recent polls. Joining her in advocating for the legalization that’s on the ballot was City Attorney Pete Holmes, whose controversial move to not prosecute minor marijuana possession cases partially made this event possible.
