Enrollment in Montana’s Medical Marijuana Program Falls 72 Percent

The Montana medical marijuana program has been decimated by last summer’s Republican legislature. As of May 31st, the number of registered medical marijuana card holders has fallen to 8,734. That is an 18 percent drop since April, and a whopping 72 percent drop from a year ago when the May 31st card holder count was 31,522.

A woman who was delivering medical marijuana near San Diego’s borders with La Mesa and Lemon Grove was shot in the face with a pellet gun and carjacked, San Diego police said Saturday. The irony, of course, is that these localities that fret about and shut down medical marijuana dispensaries do so because they fear the criminals who might rob the stores loaded with money and marijuana.
