The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) presented the announcement of a bipartisan bill aimed at educating Congress on the facts about marijuana. [GABBARD CLIP: “So what our bill does is addresses the heart of misinformation that is around these conversations by commissioning a non-partisan, evidence-based report that analyzes the current marijuana policies all across the country, the impacts that they have had on those communities in those states and provides this information to Congress.”] That’s Hawaii’s Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard announcing the Marijuana Data Collection Act, along with Florida Republican Congressman Carlos Curbelo. [CURBELO CLIP: “It’s about uncovering the truth. Many have manipulated the truth and parroted false information with regards to marijuana in order to pursue a reckless policy agenda. And specifically, I’m thinking of the Attorney General of the United States, who has been dishonest, disingenuous, and misleading, at best, when it comes to this issue.”]
