In Oregon, incumbent Democrat Kate Brown advanced. [BROWN CLIP: “Oregonians voted overwhelmingly to legalize marijuana.”] Her opponent, surgeon Knute Buehler, supports that decision. In Pennsylvania, incumbent Democrat Tom Wolf signed medical marijuana legislation and supports decriminalization but isn’t quite ready for legalization. His opponent, State Senator Scott Wagner supports medical but is “not a fan” of legalization. Nebraska State Senator Bob Krist also voted for medical marijuana. He won the state’s Democratic nomination, facing incumbent Gov. Pete Ricketts, who opposes medical marijuana. Finally, in Idaho, incumbent Republican Lt. Gov. Brad Little opposes even CBD legalization. [LITTLE CLIP: “Medical marijuana started in other states, and then it led to recreational marijuana.”] His opponent, Democratic former State Representative Paulette Jordan, is willing to back legalization. [JORDAN CLIP: “I see nothing wrong with recreational marijuana. I think it is up to the people to decide for themselves what they are comfortable with.”]
