I just completed my first official Microsoft class. Most of what I know I have learned on my own, but this SQL Server Database Administration is far too complex for that. Besides, I talked my company into paying for it.
It was fun to be in class for a week, because it brought me back to New Horizons in Beaverton, where I taught for eighteen months (and 30 months before that at New Horizons in Boise). It’s less than a mile from where I work, and that’s a ten minute walk from where I live. This week, the Oregon Weather Gods smiled and gave me a week full of sunny skies and 75°-90°F temps for riding my bicycle.
The picture over there on the left? I couldn’t resist. My instructor, my former co-worker, is named Jacob Moran. He’s one of those über-geeks whose tech-brain I envy. He’s got a great page of tech links that I’ll be using quite often.
So this week, the caption from that redneck mulletheaded pro-war protestor’s sign fits perfectly… with just a small punctuation change. After a week of his instruction, you can:
Get a brain; Moran’s!
