While I was starting my radio career on XM Satellite Radio, another radio professional named Chris Goldstein was debuting what was then a brand new form of audio content — the podcast. Chris produced the NORML Daily Audio Stash, a daily marijuana news and affairs podcast for the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML).
The NORML Daily Audio Stash was truly the pioneer in marijuana podcasting. While there have been a few local and syndicated radio shows to tackle the subject of marijuana in a thoughtful and professional manner, Chris’s show was the first to bridge the chasm between terrestrial radio and internet podcasting.
I used to be a Twitter power user, but since Elongated Muskrat has turned it into a Nazi pub, I have since migrated to Threads. Whaddaya gonna do? It’s the social media run by the lesser-evil billionaire. I’m on Mastodon (or maybe not, if that mstdn.plus server is no more), Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok as well, just not as often.
