BBC NEWS | Americas | Brazil death squad ‘guns down 30’
This story is a damn shame, but not uncommon in Rio. Death squads patrol the streets and gun down the poor and homeless fairly regularly. It’s obvious they need a little of that “Culture of Life” — if only they would display 2-ton monuments to the Ten Commandments, maybe the people would submit to the will of Christ.
Oh, wait. They’ve got a 100-ft tall, 700-ton statue of Jesus overlooking the entire city. So much for that idea.
