FlexYourRights.org is a great organization that has produced a video called “BUSTED: The Citizen’s Guide to Surviving Police Encounters”. It’s narrated by former ACLU director Ira Glasser, and presents three common police/citizen encounters: at a traffic stop, while walking the streets, and at your doorstep.

In each encounter, actors portray the wrong way to handle the encounter, where citizens who are unaware of their rights give in to police pressure and intimidation, leading to arrest and incarceration.

Following the “wrong” encounter, Glasser explains our 4th, 5th, & 6th Amendment rights in very plain language, then the scene is retold the “right” way, with the actors exercising their rights respectfully but firmly.

We’ll open up the Country Bunker for some traditional Irish fiddle. We’ve got traditional French chant and French torch song in Le Cabaret.
