Damn Michelle Triola!
The legal concept of “palimony”, not gay marriage, is one of the contributing factors to the disintegration of “the sanctity of marriage”. Michelle Triola (the benefactor of the first palimony case against actor Lee Marvin) once said “If a man wants to leave a toothbrush at my house, he can damn well marry me.” Well, if a woman wants financial support from a man, she can damn well end the relationship if he won’t marry.
The whole reason marriage exists in the first place is to legitimize shared responsibility and property rights between boink-buddies. If overnight sleepovers and pillowtalk promises are enough to justify legal support, why have marriage in the first place?
Maybe Coco Johnsen, Michelle Triola, and others were misled, lied to, courted with false promises, made sacrifices based on false trust, etc. Too bad, so sad, you were duped, get over it. If these slights are justification for palimony lawsuits, then the American people are entitled to a palimony lawsuit against George W. Bush.
