cannabisnews.com: Paging Dr. Feelgood: Minnesotans Like Dope
Interesting poll here. According to a Zogby Poll in Minnesota, a majority of the public supports the legal use of marijuana to treat medical conditions…
Should sick people be allowed to grow and smoke marijuana?
Locale | % Support |
Minneapolis / St. Paul | 78% |
Suburbs | 60% |
Rural | 51% |
Overall Statewide | 59% |
However, when they asked about other people’s perceptions on the issue, there’s a strong disconnect from the reality…
Do you think other Minnesotans support legal marijuana for medical uses?
Locale | % Agree |
Minneapolis / St. Paul | 43% |
Suburbs | 19% |
In other words, a strong majority of Minnesotans favor medical marijuana, but don’t realize they are part of a strong majority. As one commenter noted, it takes some pretty strong propaganda to convince a majority it is a minority.
