On the back of my vehicle I have two John Kerry for President bumper stickers. It’s gotten some feedback from other drivers as I travel down the Portland freeways.
Iva and I were visiting a friend. We’re sitting outside on her raised deck and my vehicle is parked out in front off the street. A big pickup truck drives slowly by, the driver rolls down his window and yells “John Kerry sucks!” at us on the porch.
In another example, we’re driving down the freeway when the big pickup truck next to us pulls up alongside and the driver flashes us the “W” sign with his left hand, like Tupac Shakur hollering “Westside!”
In both examples, the anti-Kerry sentiment came from a middle-aged white male in a large pickup truck.
