Last One Speaks has a good point about the recent story where the belligerent guy allegedly offered to pay for his pizza delivery with marijuana, then punched the delivery driver when he didn’t accept:
…ABC implies the guy is stoned and trying to give the driver marijuana to pay for the pizza. The actual story is the guy was drunk, semi-conscious and had no idea what he was talking about.
He was arrested for assault because he punched the pizza guy out when he insisted on being paid so if he really had some pot, don’t you think they would have busted him for possession as well? And you notice the driver doesn’t say the drunk showed him any weed; he just said he would give him some.
…This is a transparent attempt to equate marijuana consumption with violence when it was clearly booze that was behind that attack. The infuriating part is they get the public airwaves for free and use them to plant a false perception into the public subconscious to further a private political agenda.
