Today’s American Salute to Gun Freedom goes to the Honduran migrants who were slaughtered by a drunk neighbor with an AR-15 who had been known to fire it off in his yard!
The shooter reportedly went to the house where the shooting took place after neighbors asked him to quiet down because a baby was trying to sleep, [Sheriff Greg] Capers said.

Who hasn’t had to tell a drunk neighbor to turn the stereo down? But not many of us have had to tell a drunk neighbor to stop firing off a battlefield rifle at night.
“My understanding is that the victims, they came over to the fence and said ’Hey could [you not do your] shooting out in the yard? We have a young baby that’s trying to go to sleep,” and he had been drinking and he says ’I’ll do what I want to in my front yard,’” Capers told KTRK.
Well, you can’t fault police for some guy randomly getting drunk and one time deciding to play Call of Duty real life in his front yard late one night.
The shooter was known to shoot his AR-15 style rifle in his front yard. Capers said, and police found two other weapons in the house in a search following the shooting. Capers also confirmed they are interviewing the shooter’s wife.
“Was known to?” By whom, the people in the neighborhood, or by police? I mean, why wouldn’t police be well-informed about some lunatic squeezing off rounds in a residential setting?
Locals in the Cleveland, Texas, area are being told to “stay inside [and] stay clear” of the crime scene until the investigation has concluded.
Okay, sure, it’s Texas. But come on, even in a residential Texas neighborhood…
Police did not disclose the identity, ages or possible relationship to the suspect but did confirm that the shootings all took place in one home, the victims were all from Honduras…
Ahhhh. I got it. None of the neighbors are calling 911 for fear of la migra and nobody outside that neighborhood gives a shit.
Oh, well, don’t worry, ammosexuals. We’re still not going to do anything meaningful about the abundance of massacres or the proliferation of civilian massacre weapons. We will continue to shovel buckets of cash at sheriff’s departments like Capers’. We’ll even see to it that they get big boy Army MRAPs and other toys that do nothing to make Honduran immigrant neighborhoods–or any public space the poors must frequent–any safer.
It’s just a shooting du jour, after all.
